A few years ago I started buying small stones and minerals to make some unusual jewelry for myself, but I soon found I had more than I could wear in a lifetime. It also ignited a passion for collecting rock and mineral specimens for display. I realized that if I wanted to continue creating my jewelry I would have to find something else to do with it. So I created ‘Healing Fashion’, metaphysical healing stone jewelry, and began selling at a few scifi conventions (one of my other passions).

It still wasn’t enough to satisfy my need to create. That’s when a friend suggested opening a shop on Etsy. So on December 30th 2007 I opened ‘The Grand Design’.

Lately I’ve discovered a new obsession, ‘Steampunk’ jewelry. I was inspired to make some for myself but, again, I just didn’t know when to stop. I’ve had so much fun with it that it has taken over a large part of my shop.

Check out more of my work at my Etsy Shop.

One of my all time favorite designers! Originality and style all in one.

If I were you I would go to a place that repairs watches and get someone to show you how to take them apart. Try a pawn shop.

your link doesn’t work. I googled ‘steampunk jewellery, uk’ and several sites came up, not all in the UK. Try: http://www.altfashion.co.uk/steampunk.html. Sorry but I don’t know how to do a clickable link. There are also a number of items on eBay, but not necessarily what you want.
